The market’s efforts revolved around an ambitious recycling and composting effort, including the installation of two large “earth tubs”. The earth tubs are designed to appropriately accommodate the market’s vegetable and compostable wastes, given their unique urban setting. The earth tubs are the first of their kind in the greater Cincinnati region.

But the sustainability initiative goes beyond these specific efforts, including plans for identifying ways of increasing the energy efficiency of the market through an energy audit, encouraging urban agriculture through the development of urban gardens, and reducing the market’s carbon footprint by developing a food processing and packaging facility for locally produced foods. Although some of these projects are still in the planning stages, they all speak to the shared goal of “Greening The Market”.

Stanard Design Partners recently completed the Findlay Market five year progress report, recapping the five years since the Corporation for Findlay Market has been managing the market. Looking to develop a report that reflected the personality of the market, Stanard Design Partners developed a design that uses food as a visual metaphor for the improvements made to the market and the Corporation for Findlay Market’s plans for the future. Stanard Design Partners recently launched a marketing web site for Enterprise Mobility’s new mobile credit card processing software, MobiCardPRO. The new site features the software’s sales points through a series of compelling images that play off of the mobile, hand-held nature of the product. The images illustrate how rugged handhelds can empower your mobile workforce with robust tools. In line with the nature of the product, Stanard Design Partners also developed a mobile version of the site.

Findlay Market unveiled new “Market Maps” at five key locations throughout the market. The new maps, developed by Stanard Design Partners, are designed to compliment the Findlay Market experience while also clearly communicating the market’s layout and vendor locations. Incorporating the market’s logo, colors and patterns, the new maps further enhance Findlay Market’s unique character. The new signage design builds upon the other design materials that Stanard Design Partners has developed for Findlay Market over the years. The maps are located at the North, South, East and West entrances, as well as by the market information/gift center. We hope to “find you” at the market!

Stanard Design Partners recently developed the Cincinnati USA FOP Convention logo for theCincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau. The new logo was unveiled at the FOP’s 2009 National Conference in Long Beach, California last month, where Cincinnati won a vote of FOP delegates to determine the location of the 2013 convention. Cincinnati beat out Dallas, Louisville and Virginia Beach by significant margins. In addition to the FOP Convention logo, Stanard Design Partners also designed a custom FOP “lure” brochure, to entice FOP delegates to select Cincinnati over other cities.
